BUMPdate 22 Weeks!

22 WEEKS
or
5 MONTHS 2 WEEKS

We are well on our way to the 6 month mark! Time is flying by...I'm actually not feeling as large as I'm looking these days, kind of surprising. Sometimes I forget I have a belly until I look down! Or until she wiggles around in there :)

I only had a couple of days in the last week where I felt some contractions but again it's been another great, worry free week! I want her to stay safe in there so she can grow big and healthy! Thank you to all who are praying for baby Harper and I!

I met with a nutritionist earlier this week, it's a program they're offering through my doctor's office now and she was really great! She was able to lay out what to eat and how much of it to eat in a really easy to understand way. She assessed what I eat on a regular basis and offered up ways to tweak certain things to make it a little healthier and told me things I'm doing right. As of Monday I was up 11 pounds since pre-pregnancy but at my appointment on Wednesday I'd lost a pound! I have never in the history of my pregnancies ever lost weight, not even ounces! So I guess I'm up 10 pounds at this point and I'm hoping I only gain 10-15 more at the most. I do realize this is probably wishful thinking and no, I won't be dieting to achieve this goal....I eat! I do enjoy not having that round the clock dying of hunger feeling that I had with both boys though.

I'm finally getting over this cold! I feel like everyone is getting it right now and it feels like it lasts forever. I'm just really hoping that we don't catch the flu bug once that gets going around. We got it last year and it was awful! I've never been flu sick while pregnant and I really hope I never experience it!

We had our anatomy scan today and the ultrasound technician's words were "You have an absolutely beautiful baby!". Music to this Mama's ears! She got some really good shots of the heart and even the arteries in her neck! That's crazy!! It was very detailed and we got to watch Harper suck on her little fingers...so precious! We can't wait to meet this sweet girl, but at the same time this pregnancy is going by so fast! I'm not ready for it to be over...yet. We'll see if I feel the same way in a few months. I really have been enjoying every minute of this pregnancy. It's so amazing to think that in a few months we'll have a sweet little girl in our house! Life always changes for the better when you bring a new baby home. :)

  1. Hi Whitney, I’m Anne from Life on the Funny Farm (http://annesfunnyfarm.blogspot.com), and I’m visiting from the mommy Brain Mixer.

You look so beautiful! Perfect little bump, I wish I had carried like that. Nice to hear the scan went so well. Those are the coolest things, aren't they?

Anyway, thanks for sharing! I hope you can pop by my blog sometime to say hi…
