Five Months of Harper Love

This girl completely stole my heart the day she was born and my love for her has only grown since. There are no words for how much I love this little bundle and she’s been blessing this family for five whole months now!

At her last checkup two weeks ago she was 24 inches long and 13 pounds even. She has the cutest little chubby legs and the tiniest feet ever. The doctor thinks she’ll be petite just like her mama.

She is just about to crawl, she can get up on all fours and rock back and forth or lunge forward, and can now successfully maneuver around the room by army crawling and scooting on her belly. She is determined to keep up with her two older brothers whom she absolutely cannot get enough of. They’re constantly playing, wrestling, running, and jumping all around her and she loves to watch with a huge smile on her face.  When I hold her hands and let her stand up she squeals with excitement and you can just see it in her face that she feels like a big girl and loves it. I want to keep her little forever, but let’s be honest, this girl is growing up too quick! I feel like we just found out we were pregnant with our third little blessing and now she’s here on the verge of crawling and eating baby food. Why does this precious little stage go by so fast?!?!

Her baby talk is such a sweet sound to my ears; I absolutely love it! She loves to squeal and her new favorite noise is making toot sounds with her mouth. Harper definitely loves to sleep and very much prefers to sleep/nap in her own bed. She gets really cranky when we’re out and about if she can’t lay down in her bed for a nap, unless we’re out walking and she can nap in the Ergo. When it comes to the Ergo she is so funny…most of the time she prefers to face out so we end up turning her around even though the Ergo isn’t designed for that. She is the perfect size right now to fit in front facing. If she’s tired she’ll only fall asleep and stay asleep as long as we’re walking; she doesn’t want to miss a thing. 

I love watching this sweet girl grow! I do wish time would slow down a bit though :)
