Disneyland Adventures Part Two

March 13-15, 2012

We slept in again the second day and got lots of rest to prepare for the day ahead. Once we were up and ready we headed over to California Adventure. Monsters Inc. is one of Oliver's favorites at that park so that was the first thing we stopped to do. We then headed over to ride the carousel and I'm pretty sure this was Carter's absolute favorite. I had to pry him off of his sit when the ride was over.

Carousel...
We went to Bug's Land because they had the most to offer as far as rides the boys could both go on. We rode the spinning ladybug ride and the ride attendant told us that the boys had to sit on their own on the bench. As soon as we set Carter down he got the biggest smile ever, obviously thrilled to be sitting on his own like his brother. The picture below captured just a little bit of his excitement. So Silly...

His face is hilarious!

There wasn't a ton for the boys to ride at California Adventure so once we went on everything that we could we headed back over to Disneyland to ride the pirate ride a few more times :) and Oliver scored some pirate loot after the last ride. A new pirate hat, gun, and a pirate Mickey. He hasn't let go of any of it since he got it!

Pirate loot...

We really wanted to do some of the things we had never had the chance to do before so next we headed over to the Tarzan treehouse. It was really fun just to walk through and climb up. The boys enjoyed it as well.

Up in the treehouse! Really pretty view!

Waiting in line for Winnie the Pooh...

We also rode a raft across the little island they have which ended up being Oliver's favorite thing to do (besides the pirate ride) because the entire thing was pirate themed! They had little caverns you could walk through that had different pirate-y decorations and things to explore. One part has a block of gold in the window and when Oliver went to grab it a pirate popped up and yelled at him and he SCREAMED so loud, it was hilarious! Kaleb said that was his favorite part of our entire trip. It scared him but he loved it! He laughed right after and told Daddy to touch it!

Exploring a mound of treasure...

Gold, treasure chests, caverns, Oliver loved all of it...

I love the finger in the mouth. He's still a baby pirate :)

We could have spent all day there.

The boys were so tired out that we decided to leave early evening so they could nap in the car. Turned out to be perfect that they fell asleep because we hit traffic!

It was great for working up our appetite for a stop at Cheesecake Factory on the way home! A delicious dinner followed up with a delicious piece of dulce de leche cheesecake! No really, the food was so good that we're still talking about how good it was! We can't wait to go back sometime!

We have so many good memories from this trip we're already planning to take a trip again next year....when we can maybe possibly afford it again. :)
