Birthday Celebration

March 28 & 29, 2012

Daddy came home from work on my birthdays eve and told us he would be taking us out for dinner as a special treat to celebrate! I chose Panera because they have amazing soups and sandwiches and both of you boys seemed to agree with me on that one. We couldn't get food in either of your mouths fast enough. It was such a sweet and memorable time together.

After dinner we headed over to Starbucks for some coffee and cake pops! One of your favorite treats. As soon as we walk in the door Oliver exclaims "I want a cake pop!". As soon as Carter sees the bag he squeals with excitement. It's an every once in awhile type of a treat, not an every time we go type of treat. So it was pretty special. Plus you guys look so cute eating them!

The next day was my actual birthday and Daddy decided to go into work a couple of hours later so that he could stay and make us all coffee and breakfast. It was really special and both of you were so thrilled that Daddy was home when you both woke up. You really only see him in the mornings on weekends because you guys sleep in so late everyday.

Once we got back from dropping Daddy off at work we headed out for a walk and a stop at the park. It was a pretty gloomy chilly day, but we had a lot of fun anyways!

Oliver, I put your seat down all of the way so you could lay facing me and you loved it! You were the smiling the entire time.

This picture cracks me up. Instead of playing on the playground you both went out onto the rubber and just laid down and rolled around for a few minutes. Carter, you then proceeded to pick up a clod of dirt and put it in your mouth. Yuck.

Carter loves climbing the stairs at the park. He giggles and squeals the whole way up.

We spent the rest of the afternoon at home which was really fun. We had a dance party in the living room to worship music, watched a movie, both of you napped while I worked out, and played until it was time to pick Daddy up from work. We met Nana, Papa, and everyone at Olive Garden for dinner (which was amazing!), opened presents, and enjoyed dessert.

It was an amazing birthday and you boys made it so special! It made turning 24 not so bad after all.

That's pretty much how I felt about it :)
