BUMPdate 21 Weeks!

21 WEEKS
or
5 MONTHS 1 WEEK

This last week was perfect! I don't remember a day that I had any contractions, which is such a huge relief!! I love being able to go throughout my daily routine without having to worry about doing too much. From the looks of my belly Harper is growing quite nicely! Last weeks BUMPdate (20 weeks) I said that we would be having our monthly doctor's visit and our big ultrasound on Wednesday....I was wrong, it's actually next week! I didn't find out until Saturday that yesterday wasn't Halloween....ha! This is just a classic example of my "pregnant brain" condition. I swear, I forget everything!

My doctor's office called because they just started a program in the office where you meet with a "Diet & Nutrition" specialist so my first appointment with her will be on Monday (yes, I am sure it's on Monday). I'm a little nervous because, well....I don't have the best diet! We'll see what she has to say. I don't think I'm eating as much this time around as I did with the boys, and my hunger doesn't seem to be quite so out of control, I just remember being ravenously starving all day long! Not so much this time...

I've been fighting a chest cold this last week! The cough has only gotten worse and last night it really started to effect how much sleep I was getting, so annoying! I'm hoping I'll be on the mend soon because honestly, I'm sick of coughing so hard that I pee my pants. I'm just sayin...

Last night Carter came up to kiss my tummy and he started talking to Harper with his mouth pressed up against my belly. It was so cute! When he was done talking he stepped back, smiled, waved, and said "bye"! I think he's going to love his baby sister so much!

Thankfully it was a relatively uneventful week. I've been feeling her move A TON but still only below my pant line. I can't believe how low she sits.  Lately she's been pretty shy when it comes to letting Kaleb feel her kicking. She'll be going crazy and as soon as he puts his hand on my belly she lays completely still. He thinks she does it on purpose just so he'll stay close...Daddy's girl already. :)

Glad you're getting over the cold. Colds just feel sooo bad when you're pregnant. You look great, btw!

Anyway, it’s nice to “meet” you! Hope you can pop by my blog sometime to say hi…

  4. Hi! I found your blog through the Mommy Brain Mixer. Love it -- I'm your newest follower! :)

Such a cute bump picture! You look great! The diet program sounds really interesting and I think it's great they offer such a program! I've always been interested in healthy food but it didn't really kick in until I was pregnant (and then had my son) and I felt like I was winging it during pregnancy, never really knowing if I was eating too much or too little. That seems like a great program. I'm eager to hear what they say!

So sweet about your son talking to her through your belly. Awwww.

  5. I hope you feel better! I've been fighting a virus this week that my daughter gave me, but sick during pregnancy? Ugh. The worst.
