Our Never Long Enough Weekend

June 29-30, 2013

We made our weekly stop at the bank where the boys are always sure to get lollipops.

We decided to venture north to San Luis but made a pit stop in Avila to visit the barn and all of the animals. When we had checked the weather that morning it was supposed to be a high of 81...we got to Avila and it was BLAZING....yah it was 100 degrees!

^^ Please oberserve....high of 81.....100 degrees!!

Oliver climbed up on the bales of hay...

We stopped for ice cream, of course!

We finally made it up to SLO and had previously had plans to hike but decided that hiking with three kids three and under in 100 degree heat would probably be a bad idea.

We had lunch at The Habit, stopped in Barnes and Noble to read, and walked around a bit until it cooled down (which it didn't).

Carter **LOVED** holding his baby sister and didn't want to give her up when we decided to start walking again. He just wanted to sit with her and smooch her cheeks.

Sunday we had lunch at my parents house and ran some errands. Oliver enjoyed being a "real pirate" with my sister's bird perched up on his shoulder.

I hope you all had an amazing weekend and didn't have to endure blazing hot temps without AC cause thats what happens when you live in Cali where 75 is a heat wave.

  1. I love the "real pirate" photo -- so sweet! Ugh, don't you hate this hot weather? I'm in South Florida and it pushes 100-102 degrees in the afternoons...I'm over it!
